My name is Di Worrall – former executive and now management consultant, best-selling author, executive coach and founder of The Accountability Code™.
The first seeds of The Accountability Code™ series were planted when I was a senior executive and witnessed first-hand just how destructive poor habits in accountability could be on team work, culture, collaboration and information sharing; and disastrous for goal achievement and bottom line profits. Driven by the belief that personal and business accountability could instead be a force for positive change, I set about to uncover a formula that could turn this pattern of destruction around.
After many years of practice and research studying the technology of high performance, The Accountability Code™ was created. The "Code" is a result of re-imagining and redefining the meaning of accountability and how a "new science" of accountability is playing pivotal role in transforming personal and business success.
For too long accountability has been weighed down with the stigma of negativity, fear, punitive control and punishment; the pointing finger of blame which is forever conspiring to catch us out and apportion blame as soon as something goes wrong. The old definition of accountability is mired in the status quo of the past, suffocating, creating an ocean of lost opportunities for innovation, creativity and risk-taking. By contrast, the new science of accountability is liberating. It is a forward thinking force for positive change, focusing our attention, energy, passion and motivation on working together to make things go right. The new accountability embraces change, is hopeful creative and inspiring - turning accepted models of success in leadership, business, culture and personal goal achievement upside down. The most innovative leaders, high achievers and in-demand coaches are embracing the new science of accountability; guiding a new wave of personal success and business performance across the globe.
The first book in the series, the best-seller Accountability Leadership was geared towards leaders - introducing a new model for achieving high performance organisations through leadership and cultural accountability.
Our latest book in the series, The Personal Accountability Code™, applies in the organisational sphere, but also steps beyond the boundaries of organisation and into the professional and personal lives of goal achievers and their coaches. The book was created in response to demand for a more prescriptive "how to" guide that drills down into the personal side of success and accountability. The Personal Edition speaks to the real issues about goal achievement and accountability facing goal achievers, their coaches and leaders-as-coaches on a very personal level.
